In a dropshipping model, the Web Shop operates without holding its own inventory. Instead, products are sold directly from the supplier’s warehouse. The supplier sends product data, stock levels, and prices to the Web Shop via HeralesHub data exchange service. When placing an order, the Web Shop customer selects the delivery location and method. The order is then forwarded directly to the supplier’s delivery system.
The supplier picks, packs, and ships the products to the customer. A delivery message is generated and sent back to the webstore, containing shipping details and a packet tracking code. The webstore can then provide shipment tracking to the customer—via email notifications or online tracking, depending on the setup.
